Tanya Elmaz joins the BDLA Board
Tanya Elmaz, managing director of intermediary sales at property lender Together, has been co-opted to the board of the Bridging & Development Lenders Association (BDLA).
Formerly known as the Association of Short Term Lenders (ASTL), the BDLA originally launched in 2008. Its goal is to grow the size and reputation of the bridging and development lending industry.
Tanya brings two decades of experience in financial services, with a deep understanding of specialist lending and the intermediary market.
She began her career with Together, which has an £8billion loan book, as a business development manager covering Central and Greater London and has since progressed to her current role, where she leads and manages the lender’s intermediary sales team.
Throughout her career, Tanya has demonstrated a commitment to supporting brokers and intermediary partners by delivering straightforward lending solutions and sharing her expertise across both regulated and unregulated sectors.
Speaking about her appointment, Tanya said: “I’m delighted to join the BDLA board and contribute to the important work the association is doing to raise standards and promote professionalism in our industry.

“At Together, I am always looking to strengthen broker relationships through education and practical guidance, and I’m passionate about finding solutions for complex scenarios and helping intermediaries navigate the specialist lending landscape. I believe this drive will really help to take the association forward.
“The bridging and development sector plays a vital role in supporting property projects across the UK, and I look forward to working with my fellow board members to champion best practice and drive positive change.”
Adam Tyler BDLA’s new CEO, said “Tanya is going to be a real asset to the BDLA Board, we have worked alongside on a number of occasions and at different events. She has a real enthusiasm for the Industry and will certainly bring that to the Board along with her knowledge, experience and forward thinking and I am really looking to working with Tanya again”
