TFG and FCI Academy announces education partnership
Trade Finance Global (TFG) is more than delighted to announce an educational partnership with FCI Academy; the Centre of Knowledge for Receivables Finance. FCI Academy will provide the participants of TFG Student Writer Programme with ten educational licenses for the ‘Fundamentals on Domestic and International Factoring Course’.
During the six month programme, students from top universities around the world will be on-boarded onto TFG’s Student Writer programme, learning about trade and receivables finance, and reporting on topical matters around this niche, ranging from the uncertainties in the geopolitical and economic climate, to innovations in global trade. Articles may also be published in TFG’s magazine ‘Trade Finance Talks’. The students will also have the opportunity to build their network by interviewing experts from the trade finance sector and at the same time to develop as writers.
The Student Writer Programme, an initiative from TFG, aims at bridging the well-known educational gap in international trade, shipping, and finance. Now in its second year running, TFG has partnered with FCI Academy to help provide an enriching educational opportunity to some of the student writers. The FCI Academy Course is an online foundation course about the Domestic and International Factoring, including a brief history of the industry, FCI, the different types of factoring, the benefits, the methods and the mechanism of the two-factor system.
This programme is one of two education initiatives led by TFG, the other being the Accelerate Scholarship by TFG, where TFG hosts a grant that helps students to realise their full potential in a career in trade. This will be announced later on in the year.

The announcement follows the news of TFG’s launch of its publishing business, Trade Finance Talks, a publication, podcast and thought-leadership series aimed at educating practitioners in trade from around the world. Attracting around 100k monthly readers, Trade Finance Talks has a global audience in 185 countries.
