The ABFA membership have voted to approve integration into UK Finance
Statement to the ABFA Affiliates
The ABFA membership voted yesterday to approve the integration of the ABFA into the new financial services trade association UK Finance with effect from 1 July.
The contribution that the ABFA’s Affiliates have made to the work of the Association over recent years cannot be overstated and the membership is immensely grateful for it. We hope that you will be able to continue to make the same contribution to the work of the Asset Based Finance Product Board within UK Finance. Indeed, we also trust that you will be able to take advantage of the wider opportunities presented by the larger association in future.
As far as the process is concerned, all current ABFA Affiliates will simply become Associates of UK Finance. To all intents and purposes nothing will change until the end of the calendar year when the ‘renewal’ process will then require Affiliates/Associates to enter into a new agreement directly with UK Finance.
For example, the Executive Committee will form the new product Board and Forums, meetings, education and training and events will continue as usual.
On 1st July, staff will still be accessible on our old office number and our mobile numbers. Email addresses will change but there will be a divert from the old ABFA addresses.
After two months, we will be relocated to the new offices at Angel Court in London but I will let you know more about this nearer the time.
We look forward to continuing to work with you. Please do not hesitate to contact either me or your usual ABFA contact if you would like to discuss any aspects of this.
We should be grateful if you would pass these details to all relevant colleagues.
