ThinCats appoint Stuart Thompson as new director of Regional Business Development for London
ThinCats has today announced the appointment of Stuart Thompson as the new director of Regional Business Development, expanding the London team headed up by Dave Sherrington.
Stuart has more than 10 years’ experience in business banking working with SMEs across a range of industries, in his roles at Barclays Corporate Finance, Royal Bank of Scotland and Clydesdale Bank. In his career to date, Stuart has specialised in providing finance to support event driven transactions such as management buy outs, acquisitions, growth finance and business refinancing.
In his new role with ThinCats, Stuart will have responsibility for originating and structuring lending facilities for growing and ambitious SMEs across London and the South West.
Stuart Thompson, director of Regional Business Development, ThinCats said:
“I’m very excited to join the ThinCats team at such an interesting time for the business and I look forward to continuing to support SMEs across London and the South West.
“Having spent my whole career to date working for high street banks, I’ve seen first-hand how banks have limited their appetite for SME cashflow lending, ignoring those ambitious SMEs that require finance to grow.
“With a pragmatic approach to lending and ability to make quick decisions, Thincats is well positioned as an alternative lender to support management teams in what is considered an underserved SME market.”
Damon Walford, chief development officer, ThinCats said:
“We are delighted to have Stuart joining us. We rely on our ‘boots-on-the-ground’ funding experts and Stuart’s experience will help us provide more ambitious entrepreneurs with the funding they need to grow their businesses.”
