ThinCats appoints Andy Cocker as director of regional business development
ThinCats, the leading alternative lender to mid-sized SMEs, has today announced the appointment of Andy Cocker as director of regional business development for Yorkshire and the East Midlands.
Andy is a highly experienced commercial banker in leveraged transactions, MBOs, acquisitions and growth funding with over 35 years’ banking experience. Based in Sheffield, Andy most recently headed up a team at AIB driving business development in the East Midlands and South Yorkshire.
At ThinCats, Andy will be responsible for supporting deals across South Yorkshire and the East Midlands where he will work alongside the business community delivering complex funding solutions for growing regional businesses.
Andy’s appointment follows the recent announcement by ThinCats of a £160m strategic investment in the company from Wafra Capital Partners (WCP). The investment from WCP, alongside senior bank and institutional funding, will enable ThinCats to lend a further £2bn over the next few years.
