ThinCats funds takeover of Maidstone based family skiing business
ThinCats, has facilitated a successful acquisition of Ski Amis Limited, a family owned business who market catered Ski Chalets in France. The business has been acquired by Travel Marketing Group Limited, established by Andrew Dufty, who has acquired 100% of the equity.
Founded in 1995 by husband and wife, Ed and Christine Van Zadelhof, the business operates 19 chalets. The business is a profitable business as it stands but has great potential to grow further.
The management buy in will allow Travel Marketing Group to bring in their expertise and with a view to expand the business through new chalets including opening the business for summer leveraging more from the core asset. There is also an opportunity to increase the number of chalets.
The UK winter tourism market is estimated to be worth around £3bn per annum with more than two-thirds of those who ski between the ages of 45-65.
