ThinCats supports West Midlands based specialist healthcare provider
Pegasus Care, forward thinking healthcare provider, has been supported with £4.4m in acquisition funding by leading alternative finance provider to mid-sized SMEs, ThinCats.
Pegasus Care offers a range of services for people with learning disabilities, mental health needs and those who may exhibit degrees of challenging behaviour. The company provides specialist and innovative services that enable the people within their care to be involved in shaping the support they require. Pegasus continuously reviews the range of services provided, and staff have extensive experience of supporting and working with people with learning disabilities, whilst also receiving on-going training and professional supervision.
Pegasus Care manages their services with their very own software – Bloom Support. Software designed and built by Registered Managers and their care team, ensuring the team stay connected, deliver high quality care whilst always remaining compliant.
The funding will enable the company to acquire St Anthony’s Residential Home, a care home based in Erdington. Pegasus Care was introduced to ThinCats by MAF Finance Group, Derbyshire based financial services broker.
Mark Busra, Pegasus Care: “We believe the key to delivering outstanding care is down to the skills, qualities and attitudes of our staff, and the team at Pegasus are second to none. This acquisition will allow us to expand our care services further and offer our specialist care to even more people. We are extremely keen to get started and are very happy that the funding package has been delivered so successfully by MAF and ThinCats.”
Wes Hodelin, director of healthcare, MAF Finance Group: “It has been a pleasure to work with Mark and his team at Pegasus Care; an innovative, fast growing, and acquisitive care business. Our debt advisory expertise in the healthcare mid-market aligns well to businesses of this nature, where complex capital structures are often required to support growth and diversification. This transaction demonstrates the strength of our partnership with Richard and his team at ThinCats, whose in-depth sector knowledge and entrepreneurial approach were instrumental in the success of this deal.”
Richard Henshaw, director national development healthcare, ThinCats: “The partnership that we have with MAF Healthcare continues to grow stronger and it is always a pleasure to work alongside them to support a client. We are delighted to have been introduced to Mark and the team at Pegasus, they offer a fantastic range of services and I have no doubt that this acquisition will enhance their portfolio very successfully.”
