Unity Trust Bank bolsters its commitment to healthcare sector with new appointment
Unity Trust Bank has appointed relationship manager, Paul Kelly, to healthcare lead as part of the bank’s commitment to the social and primary care sectors.
The creation of this new specialist role reflects Unity’s support of a range of organisations delivering frontline services across the UK including care homes, pharmacies, dentists and specialist care.
Paul has over 25 years’ banking experience and joined Unity in 2020. With an extensive network of professionals including solicitors, valuers and brokers, Paul is passionate about delivering the right solutions for customers and providers.
As healthcare lead, Paul will drive the business bank’s national strategy for healthcare customers.

Paul said: “Every community needs access to good quality healthcare services – be that a child receiving dental treatment; an adult requiring specialist support or a vulnerable older person living in a care home.
“Unity has actively supported the social and specialist care sector for over decade, particularly during difficult times such as the Covid pandemic.
“Unity has a team of specialist healthcare relationship managers across the UK who understand how these sectors work, the unique regulatory and organisational frameworks they work within, and the specific banking needs of their business.
“Since joining Unity six years ago as a relationship manager, I have provided high value lending facilities to healthcare businesses to help them deliver positive social impact in their communities.
“I’m delighted to now lead our healthcare strategy to look at more ways that Unity can serve the sector.”
Martin Tighe, head of commercial at Unity Trust Bank, said: “As an ethical lender, we’re committed to delivering positive social impact as well as sustainable financial returns. The two go hand in hand at Unity.
“With a wealth of experience in the sector, Paul will spearhead our healthcare strategy and further expand our growing customer base.”
