Working capital facility opens doors for specialist PVC window manufacturer
Shawbrook Bank has provided a half a million-pound working capital facility for a Livingston based window manufacturer to progress the expansion of its trade business.
Established in 2018, Window Supply Company Ltd specialises in the manufacture and distribution of uPVC windows for window installation companies and the trade sector across Scotland. With a proven track history in the window and door manufacturing sector, the 30 plus strong team has already opened trade counters in Livingston and Aberdeen in the last six months and has 3 more locations in the pipeline.
The funding from Shawbrook Bank has provided Window Supply Company with additional working capital to support the continued growth of the business as well as supporting the specialist’s expansion plans in terms of additional trade counters to further improve the service to local tradesmen.
Murray McGarvie, financial director and shareholder at Window Supply Company Ltd, says:
“Aiming to be the go-to supplier in this industry across Scotland, we wanted to set up trade counters in key location areas around the country quite quickly and needed to work with a funder that had the responsiveness and agility to support us with this growth. Shawbrook took all this on board and delivered a solution that worked for us.”
Lorna Bell, relationship director, Scotland at Shawbrook Bank, says:
“We regularly comment on how we consider each enquiry individually and this is a classic example for us. The business is less than a year old but we recognised the experience the management team had and the success the group had so far. We assessed the business plan and worked closely with Murray and the team to craft a solution that would meet their ambitious requirements.”
