Zempler Bank appoints new chief financial officer
Zempler, the leading UK digital bank formerly known as Cashplus, has announced today the appointment of Dominic Wade as chief financial officer (CFO). He has also joined the Zempler Board as an executive director.
With a 20-year track record in leading senior finance roles, Wade has experience working for both global and scale up banks. Most recently, Wade was CFO at SME-focused challenger Alba Bank and Unity Trust Bank. Prior to that, he spent 13 years in various senior management roles at NatWest across both commercial and investment banking.
In his role as CFO and executive director, Wade will lead the company’s strategic planning and corporate development activities as well as overseeing all aspects of finance and capital and liquidity management.
The appointment follows the recent rebrand to Zempler Bank, a new name to reflect the company’s focus on making money simpler for the UK’s microbusinesses.
Rich Wagner, CEO and founder, Zempler Bank said: “I’m delighted to welcome Dominic to the team as we head into an exciting period for the business. We’re in a strong position to continue to scale our business to meet the need for simpler, smarter banking products for microbusinesses and underserved consumers. Dominic’s specialised industry knowledge and expertise, including his experience at growing challenger banks, will help us to deliver on our ambitious strategic goals.”
Dominic Wade, CFO, Zempler Bank said: “I’m excited to join Zempler Bank at such an important time for the business. I believe Zempler has a set of products and capabilities that are rare, if not unique, among UK digital challengers and I’m looking forward to building on the excellent foundations Rich and the team have built to unlock the company’s full potential.”
